I am an artist, teacher, wife, and mother living in the upstate of South Carolina. My work combines my love for the majesty of the natural world with the comforts of home and familiar spaces. Using traditional oil painting methods in a realist fashion, I seek to combine common sights of the built environment like rooflines, walkways, and windows with the mystery inherent in the natural world.  I love the idea that something unexpected might be waiting around the corner or behind the nearest tree. I like to think of it as the magic of the ordinary.
