I am excited to say that a collection of my work is now available at the most beautiful shop in historic Pendleton, SC: "Carson Gould in the Rafter Room at the Pendleton Bookshop." It is a mouthful of a name, but it is a fabulous collaboration between long-time art gallery owner, Kimberly Huddleton (aka Carson Gould Designs) and the Pendleton Bookshop. It is located on the top floor of the Hunter's Store building, which was built in the 1850s! I absolutely love spending time in this place. Between the historic building details, the shelves of books, and the carefully curated fine arts and crafts, it is a feast for the soul.
Even better, Kimberly put together a lovely spring opening reception last week. Here are some pictures my sweet husband took of my artwork while I was having a great time talking with friends, meeting new people, and eating my way through the charcuterie board. Oh, and that last picture shows me with Vickie, who not only makes gorgeous pottery pieces you can buy at the Rafter Room, but also went home with one of my favorite paintings, "Morning Light."
So if you're in Pendleton over the next few months, please stop in the bookshop and have a look around! The store is located just off the town square at 125 E Queen St, Pendleton, SC 29670.
